Faisalabad ASO impounds non-duty paid goods worth Rs63m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized smuggled goods worth Rs 63 million during the month of April of current fiscal year 2019.

According to monthly seizure report the main seizure items include vehicles, cloth, tyres, tubes Iranian diesel, auto parts and others miscellaneous items and tempered vehicles. The ASO registered more than 17 seizure cases of anti-smuggling during April.

Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad said that the numbers of cases were declining due to strict monitoring and timely actions by the officials.

As per details, the ASO impounded one non duty paid vehicle worth Rs 20,00,000 and 12 vehicles which were being used for transportation of smuggled items worth Rs35,70,0000 during the said period.

Furthermore, the ASO confiscated 4870 kilogram of cloth worth Rs30000 of 65 kilograms foreign origin auto parts worth Rs7,45,000 tyres and tubes Rs50000 foreign origin diesel 1400 liters worth Rs 1,00,000 and others goods worth Rs25,31,2484 during the said period.
