Faisalabad ASO seizes smuggled goods worth Rs 4.73m in January

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized different smuggled goods worth Rs 4.73 millions during January.

Sources informed Customs Today Collector Faisalabad Dr. Zulfiqar Ali formed different teams to curb smuggling in the jurisdiction of Faisalabad under the supervision of Deputy Collector Falik Shair Ali which also includes Muhammad Javed Mehmood (suerintendent), Sardar Muhammad (deputy superintendent), Masood Saeed Chohan, Abdul Jabbar (inspector), Muhammad Ashraf, Liaquat Ali, Israr Ahmad and Muhammad Abdullah (sepoys).

Sources said that above mentioned team successfully impounds different type of three vehicles which were brought into the country without payment of duty and taxes, smuggled cloth, food grains 420 kgs and other miscleanous goods.

Sources said that accused persons failed to produce any legal documents regarding possession of vehicles and goods ASO team seized the articles and registered separate cases of smuggling against accused persons.
