FAISALABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has confiscated smuggled items worth Rs 8.147 million during third week of October.
According to the details, the ASO impounded three vehicles, which were being used for the transportation of the smuggled items worth Rs 3.8 million, besides; it also impounded another non-duty paid vehicle worth Rs 900,000.
Following the direction of Model Customs Collectorate Faisalabad Collector Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary, ASO confiscated auto parts and miscellaneous items worth Rs 3.44 million during different anti-smuggling activities.
The items have been seized under Import and Export Trade (Control) Act, 1950, punishable under Section 156(1) 89 (i), of the Customs Act, 1969.
