Faisalabad ASO seizes smuggled items worth Rs 1.53m in second week of June

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Faisalabad conducted various operations against smugglers and recovered various goods worth Rs 1.53 during second week of June.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Muhammad Rizwan Khan constituted a team to curb smuggling attempts. The ASO team consisted of Saeed Akhtar Joiya (superintendent), Masood Saeed Chohan and Safdar Ali (inspectors), Muhammad Ashraf, Liaquat Ali, Israr Ahmad and Muhammad Abdullah (sepoys). The team seized smuggled cloth, non-duty paid vehicles of worth Rs 6,53,844. All these items were brought into the country without payment of custom duty and taxes.
