Faisalabad Customs announces training session for customs agents

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate and Faisalabad Dry Port Trust are going to hold a training session for customs agents starting from May 9-14.

During the session, discussions will be held on different topics, including customs law, customs idioms, customs clearance, protection of intellectual property rights and outstanding issues related to fees and international organisations and conventions.

Assistant Collector Muhammad Idrees said this session was among the latest services provided by the department to fulfill the need of companies willing to facilitate their transactions at ports.

Trainees will be introduced to customs procedures; rules of origin; facilitation, commitment, customs exemptions in addition to other topics of relevance.

Faisalabad Customs Agents Affairs Head Muhammad Ismail Soharwardi said that the programme aims at developing and strengthening skills of working in this career for the benefit of facilitating clearance procedures. It will provide participants full knowledge on all customs related laws and procedures, he added.
