FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad has confiscated smuggled 600 KVA power of generator. The market value of the seized generator is about Rs 2.5 million.
Sources told Customs Today that after receiving credible information, Deputy Director Muhammad Riaz Hussain formed a special team comprising Zahid Saleem Mirza (SIO), Main Muhammad Yousaf (IO), and Allah Bakhsh and Muhammad Rafiq (Sepoys). The special team raided near Bilal Gunj market and recovered 600 KVA of smuggled generator bearing serial No. 25176799 and arrested the accused person.
The accused was identified as Farhan Saleem son of Saleemul Hassan who is a resident of Saddar Faisalabad. Customs Intelligence asked the accused to produce any legal document regarding the above said generator but he failed to provide any relevant documents.
Customs Intelligence seized the generator and submitted report to adjudication department for further investigation in this regard.
