FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad has seized a smuggled generator worth Rs 250,000 involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 152,210.
As per details, customs intercepted a truck near Gatt Walla Toll Plaza, Faisalabad and recovered a 20KVA generator. The team asked the accused Hashim Aqeel son of Rafiq resident of Multan city to produce the legal documents against the import of the generator.
But the driver could not produce any documents to prove the possession of the vehicle on which customs impounded the truck being used as carrier for smuggled generator.The value of the truck is 750,000.
Seizure team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir, Inspector Mansoor Khan and Mukhtar Khan made the confiscation of generator and truck.
