Faisalabad Customs Intelligence releases consignments after getting duties and taxes

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation released the consignments worth Rs1.1million after receiving an evaded amount of duties and taxes. The said consignments were intercepted during the month of March 2018.

Sources told Customs Today that the consignments released by the Customs Intelligence consisted of foreign origin perfumes valued at Rs295386, F/O 20 tyres priced at Rs44780, spare parts plus truck worth Rs45576, imported generator valued at Rs96508 and F/O engine HTV priced at Rs130202.

The abovementioned consignments were impounded by the Customs Intelligence due to evasion of customs duty of Rs344272, Sales Tax of Rs223656, Income Tax of Rs120775 and Redemption Fine Duty of Rs329749 during the month of March 2018.

The tax evasion detected by the team comprised Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, Sepoys Ajmal Hussain and Muhammad Musaddiq Ahmad.
