Faisalabad Customs Intelligence seizes non duty paid grey fabrics

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation team confiscated foreign origin grey fabrics worth Rs7,35,000 involving duty and taxes of Rs3,40,818 during road checking.

Sources told Customs Today that on credible information Customs Intelligence team raided at M/s Sheikh Goods Transport Company. The customs team on checking found 15 bundles of foreign origin grey fabrics.

Sources said that the customs staff asked the munshi of ada namely Ihsan to produce legal documents regarding possession of cloth. He produced a bilty No, 3756 and 3757 issued by M/s Sheikh Goods Transport Company Lahore.

During investigation bilties was compared with the recovers goods and it was observed that recovered cloth were brought without paying of customs duty and taxes.

The customs team confiscated the smuggled fabric and registered a case of smuggling against the accused. The Customs Intelligence team forwarded the case to the Customs Adjudication for further proceeding.
