Faisalabad Customs recovers cocaine from Nigerian passenger

FAISALABAD: Customs team deputed at Faisalabad International Airport has seized more than 990 grams of cocaine from a Nigerian national.

Sources told Customs Today, that during checking of passengers, customs team comprising Inspector Muhammad Ramzan Shahid, Masood Saeed Chohan and Qadeer Anwar Masih intercepted a Nigerian passenger namely Richard bearing passport no: A05722772 upon arrival at Faisalabad airport.

The luggage of the passenger was found cleared from customs aspect through scanned but his movements were doubtful. Customs team observed that his something is hidden in his body which he is avoiding to disclose. Due physical search customs team recovered cocaine.

Sources further said that accused was arrived on Flydubai flight no: FZ-343 scheduled to arrive Faisalabad about 3:05 am.

The suspects carried 52 capsules from his body with quantity of 990 grams of cocaine which having international $80000.

First information report FIR has been lodged against him and a case has been forwarded to Investigation and Prosecution (I and P) Department for further action. This was the first case of drugs seizure at Faisalabad international airport in a month.
