Faisalabad customs seizes smuggled goods

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Customs intelligence confiscated LED TV (Samsung brand) and Microwave Oven.

Sources told Customs Today¸ that additional director customs Faisalabad Ms. Azmat Tahira received credible information regarding smuggling of electronic goods. After receiving the tip of she immediately constituted a customs team comprising of Zahid Saleem Mirza (SIO), Mian Muhammad Yousaf and Farzand Ali (IO), Tajamal Hussain and Muhammad Musaddiq Ahmad sepoys.

The customs team raided near Kamalpur Toll Plaza Sargodha Road Faisalabad and seized LEDs, and microwave oven. The market value of seized items are Rs 840000 which also involves duty and taxes of Rs 521955. These electronic items were being smuggled to Afghanistan.

The customs team asked the accused person who was identified as Jannat Gul son of Chamband Gul to provide legal documents regarding the possesion of above said items but he failed to show the same. After his failure customs team arrested the accused and registered a case against him.
