FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized smuggled goods worth Rs 35.28 million in the first 27 days of January.
Sources told Customs Today that the Customs Intelligence has impounded various non-duty paid items and vehicles and registered 12 cases during the period.
The seized items, include Toyota Marks-X car, 520 Bags of Imli, 35 bags of foreign origin of cinnamon, 25 bags of dry ginger, 20 bundles of small cardamom, 400 cartons of Chinese cassia, generator 1000 KVA, 5370 kgs of red chilies and Indian polyester etc etc.
The customs authorities registered separate smuggling cases against the accused persons. Further investigations are underway in this regard.
