Faisalabad customs to auction off 14 vehicles & 93 items today

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate will conduct an auction of impounded vehicles and other smuggled goods today (February 28). During the auction of 107 different lots of seized goods, about 14 vehicles and 93 other confiscated items will be presented for auction.

All these vehicles and other items were seized by the Customs Anti-smuggling Organization and Field Investigation Unit Sargodha, Mianwali, Jhang and ASO Sara-e-Muhajir during the anti-smuggling activities in the region.

The customs collectorate will present 14 non-duty paid vehicles for public auction including Toyota Corolla, Toyota Premio, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Land Cruiser, Fork Lifter, Toyota Vitz, Mitsubishi Pajero Intercooler, Toyota Hilux double cabin dala and Toyota Passo.

Besides, 93 lots, including used tyres of different brand, 95 units of laser jet cartridge (Japan), nine units of electric cables with connector, dry batteries, 135 units of plastic toys, 350 kilogram of mini capacitor, fans, 1200 kg of cotton yarn, 1687 kilograms of silk cloth, battery operated toys, Indian origin black tea, Samsung brand LED TV in different model and series, foreign origin motorcycle tyres and tubes and other confiscated items, will be put for auction.

Deputy Collector Rana Falik Shair will supervise the auction while Superintendent Muhammad Javed and UDC Khadim Hussain will supervise the auction process. The customs collectorate is presenting all those vehicles and various goods after conclusion of seizure cases.

The Faisalabad customs authorities are trying to generate more revenue before the end of the ongoing year, Falik Shair said.
