FAISALABAD: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Faisalabad Dry Port (FDP) and DP World, a private multinational company operating at Port Qasim.

After this MoU, the traders of the city and adjacent areas will be able to use the facilities at the port, where DP World will provide a cargo train service from FDP to the Karachi port, which had earlier been suspended by Pakistan Railways (PR) after huge losses.

He said that the monthly average cargo handling had come down from 2,500 to 3,000 containers to only 600 containers.
