Faisalabad Excise and Taxation Anti-Narcotics Branch collects Rs41.703m during H1 of FY2016-17

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation department anti-narcotics branch collected Rs41.703 million in first half (July to December) of current fiscal year 2016-17 and contributed a handsome amount to achieve its annual target of Rs89.251 million.

According to details, the Excise department collected Rs37.706 million from Faisalabad during the above said period whereas its annual revenue target is Rs82.614 million.

Sources told that the excise department Jhang collected Rs4.683 million against the assigned target of Rs1.927 million adding that the excise Chiniot collected tax Rs1.516 million against the assigned target of Rs0.756 million.

Meanwhile, the excise and taxation department entertainment duty branch collected Rs4.820 million during the above said period against its assigned target of Rs9.113 million.

Sources told that the excise department collected Rs4.656 million from Faisalabad against the assigned target of Rs8.684 million, adding that excise and taxation department Chiniot collected tax Rs0.1643 million during first half of the fiscal year 2016-17.

Whereas excise and taxation department of Jhang and Toba Tek Singh did not collect any tax during the above said period.
