Faisalabad Excise collects Rs 1201m taxes in 6 months

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Department collected Rs 1201.3 million in wake of taxes by achieving its annual target that is Rs 2322.6 million up to 52 percent during the first six months (July-December) of current fiscal year 2015-16.

The Faisalabad city, Jhang, Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh fall under the jurisdiction of the Faisalabad Excise. It has collected taxes under the head of property tax, motor tax, cotton fee, professional tax and entertainment duty.

From Faisalabad region, it has collected Rs 996.46 million against the assigned annual target of Rs 1881.164 million that has been achieved up to 53 percent.

The excise has achieved 44 percent of the annual target of Rs 168.63 million assigned to the Jhang region, as it collected Rs 73.41 million during the first six months.

From Chiniot, it has collected Rs 46.87 million by achieving 50 percent of the set target that is Rs 93.95, while in Toba Tek Singh; the excise has collected Rs 84.56 million against the annual target of Rs 178.86 million that has been achieved up to 47 percent.
