Faisalabad Excise collects Rs 5.4m as entertainment duty

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department has collected Rs 5.414 million under the head of entertainment duty during the first eight months of the current fiscal year and achieved its annual target of Rs 7.655 million up to 71 percent.

The Faisalabad Excise collected tax from different districts, including Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot and Faisalabad.

It collected Rs 5.204 million from the Faisalabad against the assigned target of Rs 7.295, which has been achieved up to 66 percent, while from Jhang, it could not collect any tax in wake of entertainment duty against the target of Rs 35,000.

Meanwhile, the department generated Rs 185,000 against the target of Rs 111,000 from Jhang and surpassed the target by 167 percent, while it collected Rs 25,000 from Toba Tek Singh against the target of Rs 215,000 by achieving the target up to 12 percent.
