Faisalabad Excise motor branch collects Rs 56 million in January

FAISALABAD: The Motor Registration Authority (MRA) of the Excise and Taxation Department has collected Rs 56 million during January against the assigned target of Rs 50 million. The amount was generated from token tax defaulters.

Sources told Customs Today that Director Excise and Taxation Muhammad Saeed Ahmad formed different teams to check token tax defaulter vehicles. These teams successfully conducted various operations under the supervision of Excise and Taxation Officer Muhammad Afzal Goyra. The team comprised Muhammad Nazim Khan, Muhammad Akhtar Hussain and Ajmal iqbal and checked 1,700 vehicles on Sheikhpura Road, Sargodha Road, Khurainwala Toll Plaza Point, Samnabad, Jaranwala Road and others places to nab  token tax defaulters.
