KARACHI: Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation recovered a huge quantity of smuggled Iranian diesel and tyres during a crackdown.
Sources told Customs Today that Director-General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmad Khan received secret information regarding some smuggling attempts. He directed the concerned authorities to enhance checking process of vehicles.
A customs team interecepted a truck and recovered huge quantity of tyres of jeeps and trucks. Customs team asked the accused persons to produce relevant document but the failed to provide any documents. During another crackdown customs team seized ten drums full of smuggled Iranian diesel.
