Sialkot FIA arrests 12 notorious human traffickers during crackdown

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested  12 notorious human traffickers during its ongoing crackdown in Gujranwala Division.

According to the Ch Khalid Anees, Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala Division, the  special FIA teams raided and arrested Shahid Mehmood , Muhammad Saleem, Akbar Ali, Zeeshan Ali , Nasir Mehmood , Irfan Elahi, Bashir Ahmed, Muhammad Iqbal and Ghulam Hussain.

Deputy Director FIA added that the accused had been running their black business of sending local innocent people abroad especially to European, African, Middle East Countries and to Gulf countries after extorting big amounts from them.

He added that the FIA has sent the accused behind the bars after registering separate cases against them. Further investigations are underway, in this regard.

He said that the FIA has also recovered Rs 28 million from these accused, which they had extorted from the people for sending them abroad.
