Faisalabad RTO serves notice on textile mill to recover Rs 11m tax

FAISALABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue’s Regional Tax Office Faisalabad has issued a notice to a textile mill to deposit the allegedly evaded amount of Rs 11.6 million immediately after receiving the notice.

As per the details, the department while scrutinising the tax documents submitted by the mill administration, detected that it was involved in mis-declaration of its assets, stock, production and sales.

On the charges raised by Faisalabad RTO, Zone-I Commissioner Nasir Khan and Assistant Commissioner Haji Ahmad Sohail raided the factory on Jaranwala Road to probe the matter in depth.

Officials during inspection reached a point that the said factory concealed the actual stock of cloth causing loss to national exchequer in term of sales tax and income tax.

Following the misappropriation, the officials of the FBR served notice on the defaulters to pay the outstanding tax amounting to Rs 11.6 million immediately.
