FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Zone-I collected Rs 550.88 million under the head of sales tax and federal excise duty (FED) during the first three weeks of May, 2016.
The sales tax collection stood at Rs 539.39 million, while it has recovered Rs 11.50 million as FED during the said period, Zone-I Commissioner Sheikh Azam said.
He added that unit-I of the zone has collected Rs 158.44 million, unit-II Rs 108.38 million, while unit-III has collected Rs 272.57 million in shape of sales tax.
He further said that unit-I collected Rs 11.47 million, and the unit-III collected Rs 20000 as FED during the said period.
