Faisalabad RTO Zone-II collects Rs 14.7m in 15 days of June

FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Zone-II of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs 14.73 million under the head of sales tax during the first 15 days of June 2016.

Talking to Customs Today, Zone-II Commissioner Dr Mohammad Akram Khan said that unit-I collected Rs 2 million, unit-II collected Rs 9.15 million and unit-III collected Rs 3.59 million as sales tax.

He said that the zone has still not collected any amount under the head of federal excise duty. He added that the zone recovered Rs 5.67 million in wake of arrears. The unit-I recovered Rs 120,000, unit-II Rs 3.2 million and unit-III recovered Rs 2.35 million.

He said the RTO was working hard to speed up the revenue collection. He said that the RTO will achieve the revenue target set for the fiscal year 2015-16.
