FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Faisalabad Zone-III collected Rs 37.98 million under the head of sales tax during first three weeks of September of the fiscal year 2016-17.

Commissioner Zone-III Muhammad Shuja Ahmed told Customs Today that the net collections stood at Rs 32.30 million, while it recovered Rs 5.69 million in wake of arrears during the said period.

He added that Unit-I of the zone collected Rs 21.32 million, while Unit-II collected Rs 10.97 million under the head of sales tax.

He further said that Rs 5.69 million which were recovered in shape of arrears has been collected by all units of the zone. He added that Unit-I recovered Rs 1.88 million and the Unit-II collected Rs 3.81 million during the said period.

Responding to a question, Commissioner Muhammad Shuja Ahmed hoped that annual target will be achieved by the end of fiscal year.
