Faiz Ahmad, a BS-22 officer, will serve in the role on a deputation basis under standard terms and conditions, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division.

The position became vacant after Karachi-based industrialist Zubair Motiwala resigned last week, citing personal reasons and a desire to focus on his private business ventures.

Over the years, Faiz Ahmad has earned a stellar reputation for his unwavering commitment to streamlining and modernizing customs operations, earning accolades from peers and superiors alike for his dedication and expertise.

The appointment of Faiz Ahmad is expected to bring a fresh perspective and dynamic leadership to TDAP, an organization pivotal in promoting and facilitating Pakistan’s trade and export activities.

His extensive experience in customs affairs, combined with his visionary approach, positions him as an ideal candidate to spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing the country’s trade infrastructure.

As the new Chief Executive Officer, Faiz Ahmed is poised to drive TDAP towards achieving greater efficiency and effectiveness in its mission. His leadership is anticipated to introduce innovative strategies that will not only streamline trade processes but also bolster export facilitation, ultimately contributing to Pakistan’s economic growth and global trade standing.

Business community and government officials have lauded the decision, expressing optimism that Faiz Ahmad’s appointment will lead to a more robust and competitive trade environment in Pakistan. With his proven track record and commitment to excellence, the future of TDAP under his stewardship looks promising.

The appointment underscores the government’s dedication to strengthening key institutions and enhancing their capabilities to drive economic development.

Faiz Ahmed’s leadership is expected to play a crucial role in realizing these objectives, ensuring that TDAP continues to serve as a cornerstone of Pakistan’s trade and export framework.
