Customs thwarts attempt to export consignment on fake documents

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate Export Karachi has successfully thwarted an attempt to export a consignment to Dubai through submitting fake documents.

Sources told Customs Today that Department of Intelligence and Investigations received a credible information that consignment of Samara Leather is being exported to Dubai after submitting forge and fake documents. After this, the customs authorities decided to conduct a thorough examination of the consignment.

During scrutinizing process, Customs teams found that forge documents were submitted to the authorities. Customs Intelligence and Investigations personnel seized the consignment and registered a FIR against the company, while ID of the company were also blocked.
