FBR adds 4,000 affluent residents of Lahore to tax net

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has added 4,000 elite and rich residents of Lahore to tax net having residence in posh areas and driving luxury vehicles.

Sources told Customs Today that Regional Tax Office (RTO) of the FBR took this action against tax evaders. Sources said that these citizens are leading luxury life, they are driving costly cars and have plots in posh areas of the city but avoiding to pay tax. Sources said that the people who are brought into the tax net were visiting other countries on routine basis and their children study in expensive schools.
