FBR approves Rs1.77m cash reward for Inspector Asghar Ali Waryah

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has approved Rs1.77 million cash reward for Inspector Inland Revenue Asgher Ali Waryah on outstanding performance during the first six months of financial year 2016-17. Cash reward has recommended under Statuary Regularity Order (SRO) 398 (1)/2016.

According to the details, FBR mentioned in the letter that Asghar Ali Waryah has showed excellent performance during first half of current Fiscal Year and performs his duties to collect budgetary targets.

Inspector Asghar has recovered Rs55 million in arrears from M/s EnEm Real Estate and Builders and Ali Saqlain Real Estate and Builders.

He also collected Rs7.6 million as advance tax. Sources said that Inspector Asghar also collected Rs31 million through tax returns and collected Rs9 million through revised returns.

Board also mentioned that Asgher Ali performed well while discharging his duties for tax recovery through bank attachments. Sources said that FBR decided to encourage staff members who showed excellent performance in achieving revenue collection target of Fiscal Year 2016-17.
