ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue has received another complaint from Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) about problems in Integrated Risk Management System (IRIS).
According to the details, the association has informed FBR through a letter that taxpayers were facing while filing income tax returns via online. However, FBR had already received numbers of complaints, in this regard.
KTBA said that the IRIS system is summing up the different tax liabilities, instead of comparing it. It further said that appropriate accounting period of companies, which have been permitted to adopt special tax year, is not being shown. KTBA suggested that taxpayers should be given the option to define their accounting periods.
