ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has advised taxpayers to file their annual income tax returns for tax year 2017 without waiting for the last date.

The FBR on its official website advised the taxpayers to avail privileges by filing their returns. The privileges for filers are included: significant lower tax rates on various transactions/purchases; and pride and privileges of being a compliant taxpayer.

Tax experts, however, surprised saying that the income tax return form is still in the draft stage and the latest draft for wealth statement was issued on September 20 by the FBR. The FBR invited comments on the draft up to September 27 before publishing it on the official gazette.
