FBR assigns extra tasks to Sialkot Customs officials

SIALKOT: Customs Collectorate Sialkot officials will perform their duties in different departments under the directions of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Ahmed Reza Khan will perform his duty as head incharge whereas Additional Collector Fiaz Ali will also look after functions and performance of all departments and he will present report of all departments to the collector on daily basis.

Deputy Collector Waheed Anwar Abro will supervise all matters of export, licenses of customs clearing agents and Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Zone-II while Deputy Collector Muhammad Hanif will perform duty as Deputy Collector Headquarter and he will see the all matters of reshuffling of subordinate staff which includes administration. Adjudication, court matters, banking issues and Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Zone III and Deputy Collector Muhammad Ilyas will review all matters of recovery, dry port and appraising matters.

Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Choudhary will look after import matters and Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Zone I.

However, Principal Appraiser Abdul Hameed will supervise matters of appraising department and recovery from defaulters whereas the Superintendents Muhammad Naeem Khan, Sohail Butt and Sardar Manzoor will see matters of recovery, ASOs, dry port, airport etc.

Hence all said officers have started their work according to directions of FBR. An official told that the due to load of work and shortage of staff, the officials of Customs Sialkot are performing their duties with limited resources and achieving better results.
