ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) assigned a new revenue collection targets to the Regional Tax Offices and collectorates.
Sources told Customs Today that the FBR assigned new target of Rs 3.5 billion to the Regional Tax Office Islamabad. The FBR directed the RTO to meet the target in next two months. The board is optimistic that all the chief commissioners and commissioners of RTOs will definitely achieve this target well before time.
Sources said that all collectorates and using all resources to collect outstanding amount from tax defaulters. The departed are sending collection reports to FBR on daily basis. FBR also reopened all the cases which are pending in courts after removing all legal hurdles. FBR is considering to collect outstanding tax amount from the bank accounts of tax defaulters.
