FBR assigns Rs15538.28m revenue collection target to Faisalabad Customs for FY2018-19

FAISALABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) assigned target of Rs 15538.28 million to the Customs Collectorate for the fiscal year 2018-19.

According to details, Customs Collectorate assigned the target of Rs 4678 million under the head of customs duties from Federal Board of Revenue of economic year 2018-19 while Rs10713 million sales taxes assigned to MCC for Fiscal Year 2018-19. Federal Board of Revenue assigned the target of withholding taxes to MCC to the tune of Rs 147 million.

Additional collector Muhammad Saeed Asad appreciated officials of Customs Collectorate for robust tax growth in tax collection in fiscal year and directed to ensure achievement of targets in the remaining month of fiscal year 2018-19.

He expressed satisfaction with the growth in revenue collections by the FBR and appreciated the measures taken to achieve fiscal prudence in the first quarter. He also stressed on the need to maintain focus on acceleration of economic growth for continued reduction in unemployment and poverty.
