KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has blacklisted 22 private firms involved in defaulting and forgery.

Well-informed sources in the Regional Tax Office-II told this scribe that several notices were sent to these firms, asking them to clear their outstanding dues. In response to these notices, several companies started paying tax, but some companies neither replied to the notices, nor did they deposit the tax, so the department decided to take strict action against them and blacklisted them.
