SIALKOT: Chairman FBR, Nisar Muhammad has lauded the performance of Regional Tax Office (RTO) supervised by Chief Commissioner RTO, Imran Kazmi, and allied staff and also expressed his pleasure by announcing awards for the officials. RTO has surpassed the set revenue target by 36 percent in its annual quarter of the fiscal year 2015.
There are three districts namely Sialkot, Gujrat and Narowal in the jurisdiction of RTO Sialkot. The target achieved by the RTO Sialkot last year was Rs 1960 million whereas it is Rs 2942 million for this year.
The representative of RTO office Sialkot told Customs Today that on the direction of FBR, positive attitude is being adopted for the recovery of income tax and other taxes falling in the ambit of RTO Sialkot. No tax payer is being harassed or threatened rather they feel pleased and satisfied on filing and depositing taxes which is a good omen and positive sign.
