KARACHI: The Federal  Board of Revenue (FBR) is considering imposing tax on Google. Sources told Customs Today that board is formulating a comprehensive plan to levy tax on Google income which is collected by Google from its business in Pakistan.

Sources further revealed that the FBR is adopting a comprehensive policy to bring more people and organizations under tax net and levy tax on Google is continuation of that policy. It is pertinent to mention here that last year India imposed a fine of Rs 760 million on Google on grounds that Google shows its less income . Now FBR decided to closely monitor the activities of Google and authorities will decide that how much income Google is getting from advertisements, after estimates tax will be levy on Google.
