ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has convened chief commissioners’ conference on April 8 (Sunday) to finalise tax collection targets for the upcoming budget of fiscal year 2018-19.
According to a senior FBR official, the steps to generate more revenue would also be discussed during the conference convened at 11:00am at the FBR HQ.
The officials would discuss the ways to ensure achievement of revised tax collection targets of current financial year (2017-18), said the officer, adding that the proposals would also be sought from all the field formations to fix tax collection target at Rs4,500 billion for the next fiscal year.
Sources said that the FBR has directed its all departments to send soft copies of their budget proposals to the FBR headquarter by April 5 morning.
