ISLAMABAD: The Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation, Inland Revenue, of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has caught millions of rupees sales tax evasion in Islamabad.
According to details, the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation has caught a furniture supplier company, Fort Associates, which has business volume of Rs 465 million, is not paying sales tax. The directorate has lodged an FIR under section 37-A and B of the Sales Tax Act against the company.
Sources said that the directorate has got invoices of the actual sale done by the company from 2011 to 2015 and also got invoices and accounts registers from the buyers of the said company which shows that the company has not paid sales tax.
