FBR directed to investigate financial, tax matters of INGOs

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has assigned task to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to investigate financial and tax matters of international non-governmental organisations (INGOs) working in Pakistan.

The FBR chairman has nominated Inland Revenue Policy Member Rehmatullah Khan Wazir to attend the meetings of the apex committee or send his representative.

The committee will review the matters of INGOs and give them permission to work in the country.

The Interior Ministry has called the meeting of the committee on December 21, while the IR-Policy member has been informed, in this regard.

The FBR member will present his report regarding the investigations on December 21 before the committee.
