FBR directs withholding agents to accept business names of taxpayers

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed the withholding agents to accept the NTN, CNIC and business name which are shown in declaration and put it in the activated taxpayers’ list.

According to sources, the FBR has noticed that withholding agents are not accepting business names which are different from the owners’ names and are facing problems which one to put in the activated taxpayers list.

So the FBR has reviewed the situation in details and directed the agents that business organizations have written their business’ names in the tax profiles, tax returns and declarations while individual businessman write their NTN, CNIC in the tax profiles, tax returns and declarations.

So FBR directed the agents to accept the business name, NTN and CNIC whichever mention in the declaration and put it in the activated payer list.
