ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue has doubled salaries of its legal advisers and also issued circular in this regard.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue/Minister of State Haroon Akhtar issued order of increment in salaries of lawyers on FBR panel after consultation with FBR Chairman Dr Muhammad Irshad and Member Inland Revenue Operations Rehmatullah Wazir.
FBR Member Legal Hafiz Muhammad Ali has increased the salaries of junior lawyers from 30,000 to 60,000 and from 50,000 to 100,000, while the salaries of senior lawyers from 100,000 to 200,000. Te salaries of senior most legal advisers have also been doubled.
The performance of these lawyers would also be accessed on quarterly basis and the lawyers showing poor performance would be fired.
