File Tax Return

FBR extends date of filing of tax returns till November 30

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date of filing the tax returns for further fifteen days from 16th to 30th November for the tax year 2017, due to the demand of business community.

According to the circular no.9 of 2017 issued by the Federal Board of Revenue under the section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, the Federal Board of Revenue has extended the date of filing of returns and statements for the tax year 2017 to 30th November 2017.

The date of the filing of Income Tax returns and statements of final taxation which was due on 31st October 2017, and was already extended to 15th November 2017, for individuals and associations of persons is further extended to 30th November 2017.

The date of filing of returns of total income statements of final taxation which was due on 31st August 2017, and extended up to 15th November 2017, further extended up to 30th November 2017.

It is also pertinent to mention here that due to the IRIS system business community and general public were facing difficulties to file the tax returns on time and was demand to the FBR that date of filing the returns should be extended.
