FBR fully committed to make tax system simple, transparent: Rukhsana Yasmeen

ISLAMABAD: Chairperson Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Rukhsana Yasmeen has said that the board is fully committed to make our tax system simple, fair and transparent.

Official sources told Customs Today that the chairperson Rukhsana Yasmeen while talking to representatives of Pakistan and Lahore Tax Bar Associations said their suggestions for the improvement of tax system are highly appreciated by the board. She added that FBR has successfully achieved the objectives of reforms, like increase in tax-to-GDP ratio through broadening of the tax base; strengthening audit and enforcement procedures through professional capacity building of FBR officials; ensuring more equitable & transparent application of tax laws through provision of high quality tax services. The last five years revenue collection reflects the greater revenue collection, she added.

Meanwhile, tax law experts, Abdul Qadir Mamon, Monim Sultan, Ch. Qamar Zaman and Ch. Zahid Ateeq discussed issues related to taxes and tax laws.  Moreover, chairperson FBR Rukhsana Yasmeen distributed the certificates and shields on completion of their tax bar associations’ summer camp in Murree.
