FBR grants zero-rate sales tax on power supply to six textile units

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has allowed sales tax zero-rating to six textile units on consumption of electricity for their manufacturing activities.

The FBR issued Sales Tax General Orders (STGOs) to allow sales tax zero rating on supply of electricity in order to reduce the cost of manufacturing for export sector.

The textile units include, R M Weaving Factory, Faisalabad; Classique Textile (Pvt) Limited, Faisalabad; Tex Hub Industries, Karachi; Hadi Spinning Mills, Lahore; Crescent Socks Private Limited, Lahore and Nafees Textile Industries Services, Faisalabad.

The FBR directed all the concerned Chief Commissioners of Inland Revenue to coordinate with power supply companies to implement zero rating facility to mentioned above registered entities.
