FBR issues notice to Cafe Irum due to tax evasion

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has completed an inquiry against the Cafe Irum Commercial Center in G-6/2 Islamabad.

According to sources, the owner of Cafe Irum constructed three stories Commercial Center of 43 shops without CDA approval so the CDA officials requested the FBR to examine the taxes data of the center.

Sources added that the FBR not found any commercial tax record submitted by the owner.

The FBR issued notice to the owner of Cafe Irum Commercial Center while the FBR also considering to seal 43 shops and freeze the banks accounts of the owner as well.

Sources added that the FIA has also started investigation into the matter. Sources said there are chances that some CDA officers are also involved in the commercial center scam.
