FBR issues notices to two companies involved in tax evasion

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) of the Federal Board of revenue (FBR) has issued notices to Al Huda Enterprise and Salman Chemicals for allegedly depositing tax less than their income.

Sources told Customs Today that these companies submitted a smaller amount of taxes as compared to the last three years. Consequently, the FBR started the monitoring of both the companies. During the investigation, it was revealed the income of the companies increased in million as compared to the previous three years.

Therefore, the FBR issued notice to the companies to deposit tax with fine. The officials said that the department issued notice to Al Huda Enterprise for tax evasion of Rs 2.6 million with fine of 125,000 while Salman Chemicals received the notice of Rs 3.7 million with fine of 123,000.
