KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued notices to tax defaulters and new taxpayers to bring them into tax net.
According to the sources of Additional Commissioner Regional Tax Office –III (RTO_III), the FBR has sent notices to 4,500 tax defaulters of 2014-15 in Karachi during the period between September 21, 2015 and October 10, 2015.
The FRB had started the scrutiny of the tax defaulters in August 2015 and now the board has sent them final notices. The FBR has also sent notices to more than 6,000 persons to bring them into tax net permanently till December 31, 2015.
