FBR Member Admin’s decision of ‘dismissing a sepoy ’ challenged

ISLAMABAD: Federal Service Tribunal (FST) accepted a case for regular hearing pleading the tribunal to set aside FBR Member administration’s decision of imposing ‘dismissal from service’.

The petitioner, Hassan Raza, who was working as sepoy with Model Customs Collectorate (MCC), Rawalpindi, challenged departmental decision of his dismissal from service.

The petitioner submitted before the tribunal that department penalized him on the basis of unsubstantial evidences. Petitioner informed the tribunal that department had dismissed him from service after mobile-camera footage in which he was shown asking for bribe of 10 UK pound from a passenger set to depart for England at Airport.

The petitioner pleaded before the tribunal to set aside decision of FBR member administration which was based on camera footages which had not yet been recognized as substantial evidence by the courts.
