FBR mulls over to give DGTR a status of varsity

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue is mulling over to give Directorate General of Training and Research (DGTR), a status of University, it is learnt here.

The FBR sources informed Customs Today that the Board is taking the said consideration in its agenda that proper training, diploma and short courses should be initiated for the customs agents, importers, exporters and other stakeholders in the University.

The sources further told this scribe that the feasibility for the said project through a draft has been sent to the officers concerned of FBR on their request.

When contacted, Director of DGTR, Rubina Wasti said that the project was in pipeline, but no response by the FBR authorities has yet been received in this regard.
