Customs officers ordered to adhere with uniform code

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has ordered all the officers of Pakistan Customs Services (PCS) to adhere to the rules of wearing uniform without distinction chief collectors, collectors on International Customs Day on January 26, sources told Customs Today

Earlier, superintendents of customs and inspectors were observed in uniforms on major occasion and in the fields.

The sources said that this time the authorities concerned strictly warned all the officers from chief collector down to garde-7 employees of the Customs Service.

The concerned collectorates and directorates have been instructed to submit photographic evidence of the officers in their prescribed uniform, the source added further.

It is disclosed that the officers are all set to wear the uniforms after slight alteration in their uniforms after receiving.

Earlier, through a notification the customs officers of all ranks by the grade-7 were instructed to make wearing uniforms a mandatory part of the job.
